2009 UPDATES:
Here are some of the projects I have been - and will be - involved with this year:
Release of the first Nasheet Waits Equality recording will be available in June of 2009. The recording features Jason Moran, Tarus Mateen, and Logan Richardson.
Summer dates with Equality
Summer dates featuring Stanley Cowell on piano.
Spring Tour of the US with Peter Brotzmann and Eric Revis.
3rd Eye, a trio that includes Eric Mcpherson, Abraham Burton, and myself will perform a concert @ the Detroit Institute of Arts.
3rd Eye will go into the studio to record this summer.
DVD of a 3rdEye in NYC as a part of the JazzMIx festival that occurred in NYC last fall. Barking Dogs produced the DVD for Mezzo TV, France, to be released in spring of 2009. [1st video on the right! »]
Tar Baby, a co-led group featuring Orrin Evans, Eric Revis, Stacey Dillard, JD Allen, and myself released a recording [www.tarbabymusic.com | JazzTimes Review (.PDF)]. Fall US dates to follow.
